Statistics: Russia’s inflation at 0.1% in December 19–Monday
MOSCOW, Dec 27 (PRIME) -- Russian consumer prices increased 0.1% for a fifth consecutive week from December 19 through Monday, and inflation reached 2.5% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a report on Wednesday.
Prices for eggs rose 1.1% and prices for pork, beef, millet, and margarine went up 0.2–0.4%.
Buckwheat prices fell 0.9%, sugar prices contracted 0.5%, and chicken, flour, and butter prices went down 0.1–0.3%.
Fruit and vegetable prices grew 2.7% on average, including prices for tomatoes and cucumbers that rose 7.7%.
Gasoline prices rose 0.3% and diesel fuel prices went up 0.6%.
